How to Get Through Life's More Challenging Moments and Have Fun Doing It!

There is a secret to how to get through life's more challenging moments and have fun doing it too...

I don't know if I'd call it a secret actually. It's more common sense really, but you'd be surprised at how many of us don't stop to notice it...

Or maybe it's just that we think other people just "have" some magical qualities that we don't.

Which in my experience is completely false by the way...

Actually how to get through life's more challenging moments is more of a group of secrets...

1.) Be curious...

Being curious means that you don't know what's going to happen...you move around and interact with people from a place of adventure because you have no idea what might happen...

If you are dreading doing something...

You're not being curious...you're being a "Mr or Ms Know It All"...let's face it...sometimes we're wrong about stuff...

This is one of those moments where being wrong is more fun...

Being curious is how I have learned to speak French, German, and two Germanic dialects so quickly...not perfectly mind you...

It's because I'm incredibly curious about them...I try them out...I listen to people speaking them...I ask questions...and I'm so wrapped up in my curiosity that I don't care if I screw it up or not...

My only goal is to learn something else about these languages...

It's also how I got over my fear of strangers, crowds, public speaking, you name it...yeah...I used to be afraid of a lot of things...

So if you want to learn how to get through life's more challenging moments and have fun with it, start to get curious...

2.) Make those mistakes small and unimportant...

Of course you're going to make mistakes...everybody does...especially when learning something new or dealing with something new...

In learning how to get through life's more challenging moments...

Personally I completely forget mistakes...

Actually that's not true...they're still there, but I am so completely focused on what I'm doing right...I can only see what I'm doing right...

I put the things I'm doing well right in front of my nose and make sure they are very easy to see at all times (that's something you can do with hypnosis by the way)...

The things I do right take up so much space that it's all I can see...

Which makes me feel pretty good...and keeps me motivated to continue...

It can make learning how to get through life's more challenging moments seem much easier...fun even...

And if you think you aren't doing anything right, it's because you aren't looking for it. When you start looking for the things that you're doing right, you'll find them...

The people that I work with who are having trouble with language learning are usually stuck here...

And as soon as I get them to start looking for the right things, they start making a lot of progress...

And having more fun...

3.) Love yourself...

The third part of how to get through life's more challenging moments is a lot easier to do after you do numbers one and two...which is why it's number three...

I had a lot of trouble with this one...mainly because I wasn't paying attention to what I did right...

The more you pay attention to what you are doing well, the easier it is to realize that you're actually a pretty cool person.

And then you might notice that you're even lovable...

It's a very strange and wonderful experience to realize that you're a different person...usually completely different than you thought you were...

Another way to kick start things is to spend some time thinking of people that you love...that love you...special moments in your life that you are immensely grateful for...

Put them right in front of your nose...

Make it so that they take up all the space in your mind...and that they are very easy to see at all times...

And then just sit in that love...enjoy it...and realize that you're a part of it too...

Doing that often helped me to realize that I was lovable and to love myself...and it feels really good too...

There's a reason why "love yourself" is on this list of things I have used to succeed at "difficult" tasks without it feeling like hard work...

Intentionally loving yourself will make it easier for you to intentionally love what you are doing and love the people you interact with on purpose...which are the keys to getting through life without noticing those challenging moments at all...

This isn't a theory...it's not logical...or rational...

I personally haven't experienced logical, rational problem solving as a way to learn how to get through life's more challenging moments without really trying...

Of all the things people have told me that they want in life...most of it has boiled down to being able to love themselves.

If you're having trouble with this step...

Just remember...be kind to yourself...it's the first step towards loving yourself...

And realize that you are VERY lovable...whether you know it or not...

There are a lot of possible reasons why some people don't treat you in a loving way, but it has nothing to do with you not being lovable.

You ARE lovable period.

p>And if you need some help realizing this, please find something to help you, because you need to know deep in your heart how fantastic you really are...
